Our Smash and Splash sessions are more than just a Cake Smash, they are the perfect way to celebrate your baby’s 1st Birthday.
It doesn’t seem like 2 minutes since you were snuggling that newborn baby in your arms and already you’re planning their 1st Birthday! Do you have a party, what gifts should you buy…I mean they’ve got so many toys already! Cake Smash is fast becoming one of the most popular and fun ways to celebrate, your baby has lots of fun and we capture it all so that you and your family can treasure the memories for many years.
Here at Life in Focus Portraits we always like to give you the very best, which is why our Smash and Splash sessions are more than just a Cake Smash!
I always begin our Smash and Splash sessions by taking some classic portraits of your little one, while they are still nice and clean before the fun begins!
We then get to the fun part capturing those adorable expressions and details while he/she enjoys demolishing their cake.
Finally we finish up with splash time, whether that’s bath time in one of our choice of bathtubs . . . . or if your little one isn’t keen they may prefer to splash about with the rubber ducks or just catch some bubbles!
All of our cake smash sessions include a bespoke set-up which can be individually tailored to fit with your chosen theme, whether that be your child’s favourite book or simply a colour scheme to match the nursery. We have an array of props and accessories including hand-made outfits, tutus, bunting, balloons, pom-poms, flowers and pinwheels…and if we don’t have what you have in mind for your chosen theme, we will do our best to source something special for you.
Of course, the Birthday cake is also included, all of our cakes are bespoke and made to order from a local baker. I ensure that the bakers I use are fully hygiene checked and registered.
Smash and Splash sessions have a session booking fee of £75, this includes a complimentary print with your order. Around 2 weeks after your sesion you will be invited back to the studio to select your favourite images.
