I’ve really been enjoying getting outside over the summer school holidays and making use of the beautiful evening light for some outdoor family photoshoots.

I’ve been lucky enough to photograph Abigail and Lily a few times over recent years, I think the first time was possibly at their dance school all dressed up in their show costumes.  I was delighted to have them along for an outdoor session just as they were breaking up for the Summer.

We spent most of our hour together within the grounds of the Royal Northern and Clyde Yacht Club, which is where the Life in Focus Portrait Studio is located.  We then took a wander down to the beach at Rhu Spit to take advantage of the long grasses and a very conveniently washed up log which was in just the perfect spot.

These girls really light up in front of the camera, which made it really difficult for me to narrow down their gallery and even harder for their Mum and Dad to choose their favourites!

The girls recently had their photos taken with Mum at their Mummy and Me session earlier in the year, so as Dad brought them along for this outdoor session, I was only too happy to capture a couple of images of them with Dad.  We need to make sure that the wall space in their home is balanced after all!!
